QUE 1) In  ____________________________   quadrant both abscissa and ordinate are negative.      (1)

QUE 2) Prove that the straight line y-x+2 = 0. Cuts the straight line joining the points (3, -1 ) and (8 , 9 )  in the ratio  2:3.      (3)

QUE 3) Find the ratio in which the points (-3 , k ) divides line segment joining points (-5, -4 ) and ( -2 , -3 ). Find the value of k .        (3)

QUE 4)    Find the relation between x and y such that the point (x, y ) is equidistant from the points (3 ,6 ) and ( -3, 4) .                     (3)

QUE 5) A line of length of 5 ,  and one end is at the point (1, -2) ;   if the abscissa of the other end is 4, prove that its ordinate must be 2 or -6.   (3)

QUE 6) PROVE THAT POINTS (1 , -1 ) , (-1/2 ,1/2) and vertices of an isosceles triangle.                (3)

QUE 7) Determine the ratio in which the point P (m, 6)   divides the line joining A (-4 , 3) and B (2, 8) . Also find the value of  ‘m’.      (3)

QUE 8) Find the point on x-axis which are at a distance 2√5   from the point (7 , -4).    How many such points are there ?       (2)

QUE 9) If the point C (-1, 2)  divides internally, the line joining the points A(2 ,5 ) and B (x, y)  in the ratio 3:4 . Find the value of x2+y2            (3)

QUE 10)  If the mid point of line segment joining A [ x /2 , y+1 / 2 ] and B( x+1 , y+3)   is C (5 , -2) . Find x, y.
